Music MEdicine by Martine
"Music is like angels.
It goes where we can't go"
With Music Medicine, I bring my piano music to life in various forms. I play during workshops and training sessions and perform at recumbent concerts, a living room concert, and occasionally at funerals. Increasingly, I incorporate my music into my sessions. The healing frequencies of music can awaken deeper layers of consciousness or that you experience as stuck. This happens simply by listening. Music is a universal and ancient medicine that most people understand well.
For example, there are indications that Stone Henge in England was used as a music healing circle. This is due to the shape and type of stones. People came from far and wide for healing.
The music can also be heard in various art projects. Feel free to inquire about the possibilities. Below are some of the projects I've worked on.

Peace meditation
Peace begins within. Now that the topic of peace is so relevant in our troubled world, I've created a peace meditation with Mark Ligthart. I met Mark during a workshop I gave for the European Intuitive Network. For more meditations, visit www.markligthart.nl.
Music Medicine Ligconcerten
Music Medicine was born from a desire to make the world a little more beautiful with my music. To create a place where music resonates and where there's time and attention to connect with each other and with yourself. A kind of new-age space around a campfire. Come lie down on a mat and immerse yourself in the healing sounds of music. It can nourish your heart and soul and also inspire you with a touch of spirituality. I play part of the music myself, and part where my music plays and I meet you through touch.
The peaceful sounds of my music are often experienced as comforting and healing. The pieces are narrative and can connect you with deeper layers of yourself.

Composing
When I was nine, I took my first piano lessons. My teacher was a sweet and intuitive person who drove an old DAF, smoked cigarettes, and instilled in me a love of music.
As a teenager, I wrote short compositions and regularly adapted other composers' piano pieces. It wasn't until about ten years ago that I took up composing seriously, and it's become an indispensable part of my life. I enjoy sharing my music with the world in various forms.
The sheet music is available for €8.50 each. Most pieces are easy to play with a few years of piano experience.
MUSIC PROJECTS
Two Eyes So Blue
I recently collaborated on a film by Barbara de Baare, who portrayed her 100-year-old grandfather. It's a beautiful and moving film that captures the imagination. Barbara asked me to compose the music for the film, and we recorded it together while I watched it. It was the first time my music was performed on a large screen. It was beautiful how the room fell silent when my music played over the credits. What a wonderful moment. It awakened something in me. A desire to make more music in meaningful projects. A desire to share my music with the world.

EXPERIENCES
LISA
What a special experience Martine's recumbent concert was. An hour of relaxation and enchanting melodies that draped over you like a soft blanket. A concert and a profound meditation all rolled into one. Highly recommended if you want to leave everything behind and step into another world. I'd love to come back again!
